“For me there is only the traveling on paths that have heart, on any path that may have heart, and the only worthwhile challenge is to traverse its full length–and there I travel looking, looking breathlessly.” Don Juan’s teachings – Carlos Castañeda”

Quotes on shamanism and wisdom
The shamanic path
Good day to all ,
This quote is surely one of the most famous of Carlos Castaneda’s books . However, it is far to be the easiest one to put into practice in a real, sincere and profound way.
On the path of shamanism and healing, to follow a path that have heart is one of the most essential things and if you are on such way, i really hope that you practice this wise words from Carlos Castaneda in a strong and sincere way.
It often requires sacrifices to take this path that have heart and we must also learn to overcome a number of fears not to let them rule us but once the good decisions are made, nothing can take one away from such path. It may take some time but it is priceless once you get there.
In our heart lies deep wisdom and unexpected guidance. We must take the time to learn to listen to it because the risk is real that someday day one wakes up somewhere between his life and death, thinking that is missed something important in his life and on top of it, for the wrong reasons. As long as a spark of life remains there’s still hope to do the required move but as we move forward in life the effort to switch to the proper path tend to become more and more difficult, the worth staying of course to never awake.
For this reason, anyone curious of these things in a deep way should consider learning how to open his heart to listen to what is standing there for him. Nothing is hidden but we have to go beyond our mental noise and sat quietly in the comfortable solitude of our being to find this unexpected diamond.
Let me share a little more from Don Juan Matus, this real or imaginary master of Carlos Castaneda that opened the doors of a magic universe made of energy and mystery to many of our contemporaries :
“This question is one that only a very old man asks. Does this path have a heart? All paths are the same: they lead nowhere. They are paths going through the bush, or into the bush. In my own life I could say I have traversed long long paths, but I am not anywhere. Does this path have a heart? If it does, the path is good; if it doesn’t, it is of no use. Both paths lead nowhere; but one has a heart, the other doesn’t. One makes for a joyful journey; as long as you follow it, you are one with it. The other will make you curse your life. One makes you strong; the other weakens you.
Before you embark on any path ask the question: Does this path have a heart? If the answer is no, you will know it, and then you must choose another path. The trouble is nobody asks the question; and when a man finally realizes that he has taken a path without a heart, the path is ready to kill him. At that point very few men can stop to deliberate, and leave the path. A path without a heart is never enjoyable. You have to work hard even to take it. On the other hand, a path with heart is easy; it does not make you work at liking it.”
Have a great day full of joy and peace.
